I'll stamp all over 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Former twice world title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Success

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest financial successes, regularly earning substantial earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really proceeding.
